Dr. Shaikh Wahid is a highly experienced and skilled physician with a diverse medical background and a strong commitment to patient care. After completing the Baptist Family Medicine Residency Program in Montgomery, Alabama, he went on to complete a three-year clinical fellowship in neurosurgery in New York. Prior to practicing in the United States, Dr. Wahid served as a general surgeon in his home country of Bangladesh, giving him extensive experience with minor surgical procedures. He later spent 14 years at PriMED in Montgomery, where he built a reputation for providing dependable, high-quality care before co-founding his own clinic in October 2016—one of the first hybrid clinics in Alabama.
Dr. Wahid is married to Dr. Irene A. Bailey, and together they have shared over 30 years of marriage and raised their son, Sharar. Known for his dedication and accessibility, Dr. Wahid provides walk-in urgent care services seven days a week, ensuring patients have reliable access to care when they need it most. Outside of his medical practice, he enjoys watching soccer and action-packed movies, as well as spending quality time with family and friends. His broad clinical experience and patient-first approach make him a trusted provider in the Montgomery community.
Dr. Bailey and Dr. Wahid opened the clinic up in October 2016. It was one of the first hybrid clinics in the state of Alabama.
