Dr. Irene A. Bailey is a dedicated and compassionate primary care physician who is deeply committed to providing personalized, high-quality care to her patients. A graduate of the Baptist Family Medicine Residency Program in Montgomery, Alabama, Dr. Bailey brings years of experience in treating both adults and children. She previously served five years at the VA Hospital caring for veterans, followed by nine years at Tallassee Family Care, where she also played an important role as an attending physician for medical students and residents. Today, she continues her passion for teaching by mentoring resident physicians in her own clinic, which she proudly opened in October 2016 alongside her husband, Dr. Shaikh Wahid—making it one of the first hybrid clinics in Alabama.

Dr. Bailey is married to Dr. Wahid, and together they have built not only a successful medical practice but also a strong family, sharing over 30 years of marriage and raising their son, Sharar. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys cooking, traveling, listening to music, and exploring the latest makeup techniques and trends. Known for her warm and attentive approach, Dr. Bailey is committed to building lasting relationships with her patients and ensuring they feel heard, valued, and well cared for at every visit.
